In writing the previous blog, it occurred to me that this would be a good time to restate the values of Asatru as demonstrated in our lore.
Probably the best known summary of these is found in the Nine Noble Virtues. In their original presentation, these were -
Courage
Truth
Honor
Fidelity
Discipline
Hospitality
Industriousness
Self-Reliance
Perseverance
Different versions of this list have been written and published over the years, but the ones given here are the originals published by the Committee for the Restoration of the Odinic Rite in the early 1970's.
These must not be mere words on paper, or on a computer screen - they must be the standards by which we live our lives!

Hej Steven
I myself am an active member of the AET community here in Sydney Australia.
I have started a welfare agency that I have named The Valhalla Project (http://thevalhallaproject.wordpress.com)
I work with men in crisis, particularly men who are in my situation that are experiencing difficulties in the family court.
My situation is that my now 10 and 11yr old daughters were kidnapped twice by their birth mother and maternal grandmother.
Both times with the aid of the law in this country.
I have shown great courage and yet I feel great sadness in my heart in this moment.
I wish to undertake Gothi training how may I best go about that?
Ver thru heil

Hail to you and best wishes for your efforts Johan Nielsen. Your children need the influence of their father in their life. Keep up the stuggle.
